THG Aalen Debating AG Celebrates Success in Heidelberg
The Debating AG of THG Aalen won 3 out of 4 final rounds at the finals of the Debating Society Germany. Representing the school were Giulia Giambra, Daria Müllender, and Ida Weiß, accompanied by their coach, Ms. Sachs.
The prestigious event took place from March 20 to March 22 in Heidelberg and brought together nearly 300 participants from across Germany. Over the course of the competition, students engaged in intense and thought-provoking debates on a wide range of contemporary issues. Topics included the role of non-career politicians in executive positions and whether driving bans should be implemented once self-driving cars are fully developed.
The THG Aalen team impressed judges and audiences alike with their strong arguments, teamwork, and rhetorical skills, earning a high number of points throughout the competition and ultimately securing victories in three of the four final rounds.
The team gained valuable experience that will shape their future performances. We are incredibly proud of our debaters and look forward to the upcoming season, where they will continue to develop and apply their newly acquired debating skills.
We would like to thank the Verein der Freunde und Förderer des THG Aalen e.V. for making this trip possible.
